Yash Chopra: The King of romance passes away at 80

The legendary film maker Yash Chopra passes away yesterday at the age of eighty at the Lilavati Hospital, Mumbai. He was suffering from dengue from last eight-nine days. He died of multiple organ failure.

As the news came out in the evening of his death, many leading persons of Bollywood rushed to the hospital.

 

Yash Chopra has given romance a new meaning in the Bollywood with his films like "Daag", "Kabhi Kabhie", "Silsila", "Chandni", and "Dil Toh Pagal Hai" and "Lamhe". He adopted new things in his films as the time changes according the audience’s requirements. His last film will be coming “Jab Tak Hai Jaan”.


In his five decade long Bollywood career, he won many awards, including the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Award, 6 National Awards, 11 Filmfare Awards and was also facilitated with the Padma Bhushan in the year 2005.


All the leading persons of Bollywood, social activists and politicians mourn on the death of Yash Chopra. Even the common man of India can easily relate themselves with him because of his versatile movies of different walks of life.


He will be remembered as one of the best directors of Bollywood who made films of different walks of life with best performance.
