The massive win of two strong women leaders West Bengal & Tamil Nadu show the stealth of women leadership once again. With the majority with which they swap the election has proved their stronghold in their respective states.

In West Bengal, this election has proved a defining one as it has brought an end of 34 years rule of the Left - the Communist Party of India,Marxist (CPI-M). The strong and charismatic leadership of Mamata Banerjee of Trinamool Congress has helped the party to swap the election. She got a good support from various sections of the society and people have shown faith in her leadership who are fed up with with CPI-M ruling of three and half decades. Now she will have the responsibility to take the West Bengal in the right direction of progress.

It is believed that it is a vote for change in West Bengal. Mamata Banerjee's Trinamool Congress+ has won with a large majority 226 seats of 294, leaving the Left+ with only 63 and others with 6. The more disappointing fact for the CPI-M is that its Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee is not able to win a seat to reach assembly.

In Tamil Nadu, the fourth time return to power of the charismatic leader Ms Jayalalitha’s the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) party, will prove a step forward for the state’s socio-economic development. Her massive victory seems an overall result of her charismatic leadership, better alliance and DMK’s bad governance, poor management of critical issues and corruption.

AIADMK+ has won 190 out of 234, leaving DMK+ with just 25 seats. It seems that people come out for voting in a huge number to show their anger against the issues like corruption, 2G spectrum case, inflation, increased crime, one family rule and bad governance. It seems that DMK has taken people for granted and their overconfidence costs them a lot.

These results show that people have the faith in women leadership. People in both the states has realised that they need the leaders who can provide them good, transparent and progressive governance. Now it’s their turn to prove people’s faith right by working hard in a positive manner on the critical issues.
