Pak. President Zardari’s India visit: What one can expect

Pakistan president Asif Ali Zardari is on his one day visit of india with thirty delegates with him along with his son Billawal Zardari. This meeting has been given importance as from long time, there is no meeting between the heads of the two countries because of terrorist activities.

So what kind of outcomes one can expect from this political development. It will be interesting to see how things shape up in near future because of this so called private visit.


President Zardari along with his delegates meets Indian PM Dr. Manmohan Singh in New Delhi at 7 RCR. Both the heads discussed different bilateral issues with each-other and then addressed press. They expressed their satisfaction over the discussion and outcome of the meeting.

Then they attended the lunch offered by Indian PM. Indian Prime Minister accepted Pak. President’s offer of Pak. Visit and assured him of his visit once the schedule is decided.

Indian PM Dr. Manmohan Singh expressed his satisfaction over the meeting. He told that this meeting is constructive and will help in making better relation with Pakistan in future.

The case of Hafiz Saeed is being discussed with the Pak. President and he assured that he will discuss it with his government. Home secretaries of both the countries will discuss the issue in near future meeting. Pakistan president also agreed that terrorism activities should be stopped.

Also, the most favoured nation (MFN) status is being discussed in the meeting. It will help both the nations and trade ties will improve between both the nations. The cricket ties between both the nations will be resumed soon.

Pak. President visited Ajmer Shariff Dargah along with his son and others.

In earlier meetings also, many promises are being made but not delivered, so it will be interesting to see how much will be done practically this time.
