Maruti Suzuki India has finally entered into the upper end segment of the Indian market by launching its much-awaited luxury sedan Kizashi. They will bring two versions of the sedan priced at Rs.17.50 lakh and Rs. 16.50 lakh.

Maruti Suzuki India is projecting Kizashi as sports sedan powered with 2.4 litre petrol engine that is capable of delivering 178 PS of power. This version will be available in Indian market from next month onwards. Sedan Kizashi can be booked with a minimal initial deposit of Rs.50,000.


Managing Director and CEO of Maruti Suzuki India Shinzo Nakanishi said, “The Kizashi is a major step forward for Maruti Suzuki. We are offering an international car to top-end customers in India. With the launch of this sports sedan, we will keep up the momentum in the market without forgetting the small car market which is our strength.” 

Kizashi will be equipped with modern attractive and effective safety and luxury features. They are planning to import it as a complete built-up unit manufactured at its Suzuki Motor Corporation's Sagara plant in Japan. It will have a fuel efficiency of 12.53 km per litre in automatic version and 12.45 km per litre in manual transmission version.

They already have launched this sedan version in Japan and USA. Now they are a launching it in India keeping in mind the growing market size of this segment cars in India in future. They have realised that luxury car segment is shrinking in western countries so that need to maintain the momentum through some other growing countries like India. 

It will be too early to conclude Kizashi’s performance as it needs time to analyse it. But one thing is for sure, Maruti Suzuki India’s this sedan version will provide tough competition to other competitors in India as Indian people has good faith Maruti Suzuki.
